How is the treatment administered?

Dermalogica Pro Microneeding™ procedures are carried out in a very safe and accurate manner with the use of sterile single-use cartridges. The skin is cleansed and a hyularonic acid gel is applied to the skin. The Dermalogica Pro Microneeding™ is passed over the skin to puncture the outer layer. The skin is then cooled and calmed with a mask. While the mask is on, we can microneedle the hands if you would like them done. (There is no extra charge for this).

How will I look after the treatment?
After the treatment your skin will appear red and flushed, similar to moderate sunburn. You will also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity. This will diminish after a few hours and within 48 hours will be completely healed.

How quickly will I see results?
Signs of skin rejuvenation will be seen after 6-8 weeks and will continue for up to a year. 3 sessions at a 4-6 week interval are usually recommended (though results will be seen with one treatment) with a follow up treatment 6-12 months later and then need two yearly for maintenance.

How should I care for my skin after the treatment?
We can recommend products that will help speed up the healing process and achieve optimal results. However home care products are not essential after this treatment.

Is the treatment painful?
The microneedling feels slightly scratchy and can be more sensitive around the eyes and lips. The microneedling itself is a very quick process so any discomfort will be kept to a minimum.

Can I have this treatment when pregnant?
No you cannot have this treatment during pregnancy.
